ESAB OK Flux 10.62 Gains Military Approval

Florence, SC – ESAB Welding & Cutting Products announces that its OK Flux 10.62 has received qualification from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as a MIL-100S-1F classification flux. OK Flux 10.62 now meets the requirements of MIL-E-23765/2E; and the pending technical publication T9074-BC-GIB-010/0200 and is approved for use in military applications requiring a MIL-100S-1F flux that meets those specifications.

OK Flux 10.62 is a fully basic bonded subarc flux intended primarily for multi-pass butt welding of carbon and low alloy steel plate. It produces weld metal with very clean metallurgical qualities and exhibits exceptional impact toughness at low temperatures, while providing well-shaped beads and free-peeling slag. Military uses include surface vessel and submarine manufacturing.
