Dave Beaudry of Mobile Metalworks has been welding for approximately nine years and loves almost every minute of it. He welded a hummingbird weather vane in his spare time for a friend. It was cut with an ESAB HandyPlasma 550 plasma unit out of 1/16"mild steel and TIG welded with a Multimaster 260 using ER70S2 1/16" rod.

He also made customized ornamental railings mild steel using 1-1/2"x3/8" and 1-1/2"x1/4" top and bottoms with 1/2"x1/2" square pickets. He MIG welded them with his Multimaster 260 using .035 Spoolarc 87 HP filler metal and MIG Mix Gold (90% Argon/10% CO₂).

Dave also shared with us some close ups of the nice welds he got while repairing a piece of heavy equipment frame using 5/64" Coreshield 8N1.
