Hydrocut PR

The Hydrocut PR is available in widths of 4 ft., 5 ft., or 6 ft. It can be equipped with ESAB’s Vision™ Computer Numerical Control for the most advanced waterjet optimized motion control in the industry. Process control for any material is as easy as selecting the material type and thickness.

The Hydrocut PR can also be equipped with a plasma cutting torch, to allow multi-process cutting. This patented combination of processes allows more flexibility and maximizes efficiency and quality as required. Other options include Automatic Height Control, a spreader bar for dual head cutting, the Video-Path tracing system, hand pendant, way covers and laser pointer.

Case Study
Southerntier Custom Fabricators, an Elmira, NY-based manufacturer of HVAC air handling systems and specialty fabrications for the commercial, educational/institutional and industrial marketplace, wanted to expand into new areas of business. To do this, the company knew they needed a cutting machine that held closer tolerances, so they started to investigate waterjet cutting.

After listening to STCF’s needs, ESAB recommended the HydroCut gantry cutting machine that combines plasma cutting and waterjet cutting on the same gantry. The Hydrocut gives STCF the ability to make close tolerance cuts with waterjet and lower tolerance cuts with the speed of plasma, without stopping to change machines or set ups.
